Kenny Keezer is the youngest son of famed basket maker Clara Keezer. He is a member of the Passamaquoddy tribe of Maine, one of the four tribes of the Wabanaki Alliance.
This natural colored basket has real presence, with a diameter of 12 1/2 inches. It is certainly the largest basket we’ve carried of Kenny’s, and it may be the fancy basket with the largest diameter we’ve had. It is a beautiful item to behold!
The predominant design feature is the tiny curls, and the ribbon curls on the cover are reminiscent of Clara Keezer’s work.
Size: 12 1/2 inches diameter; 8 inches high, including ribbon curl on cover.
Materials: black ash, sweetgrass.
