Katie Sickles (1920 – 2019) was a very talented and appreciated basket maker from the Oneida Nation in southern Canada. This basket, from a large collection of Native American/Canadian baskets, shows her skill in creating a delicate rim on her black ash baskets. The dyes have remained bright and the basket is in excellent condition overall.
