Daniel Ungott Vintage Owl
Daniel Ungoot (1935 – 2002) was a respected carver from the village of Gambell, Alaska, St. Lawrence Island.
This vintage owl, carved from walrus tusk, is one of the largest owl carvings we have seen come from the Eskimo communities of Alaska. Beautiful form and fine scrimshaw feathers. Old ivory and baleen inlay eyes.
