Daniel Iyakitan (1912 – 1995) was a respected ivory carver with a a diverse set of skills, and was perhaps best known for his elegant carvings of trumpeter swans. Curved necks and scrimshawed beaks and feet were among the only features, aside from lightly defined wing feathers.
