A Olanna Ivory Story Bracelet
This bracelet is made with old (excavated) and new ivory (walrus tusk). The contrast of brown discs with white discs create a wonderful background for the engraved, or scrimshaw, hunting story. A hunter walks from his village to a hunting site, raises his spear, kills a seal, and pulls the animal home to feed his family.
The bracelet has an inside circumference of about 7 inches; because of the tightness of the elastic, it is best suited for a wrist that is up to 6 1/2 inches wide. If you would like it re-fitted with looser elastic, please call 207 967-2122 It is approximately 5/8 inch wide.
Signed A Olanna, likely Albert Olanna; ca. late 20th, early 21st century.
