RT Wongitillin Ivory Eagle Eskimo Art

A beautifully carved ivory eagle with textured surface representing feathers, mounted on an old bone base, which makes it look like it’s perched in its natural environment, perhaps on a rock along the ocean, taking a break from its hunt.

There are two broken claws on the eagle; you can see one of them in the photo with the red markings. The other broken one is on the opposite side of the same foot, unseen in any of the photos. The eagle’s price reflects a reduction from its market value because of the broken claws.

Eagle is 4 3/8 inches long x 1 1/4 inches wide x 3 inches high; the entire sculpture is 6 1/2 inches long x 4 inches high x 2 3/4 inches wide
