Small round basket

Clara Keezer, winner of an NEA award in the early 2000’s, is one of the great Maine basket weavers. This basket probably dates to the early 2000’s. The color of the bright pinks and bluish-purple splints contrasts beautifully with the natural ash color as well as the braided sweetgrass. In addition, the angles create a dynamic composition out of what would have otherwise been static.
