Penobscot Basket Ganessa Frey Purple Point Basket
Ganessa Frey, wife of famed basket maker Jeremy Frey, is an excellent weaver in her own right. As of this writing, she has not been weaving for a few years, so we are getting her baskets from private collections.
This point basket is in immaculate condition. Woven in 2003, it looks like it could have been made last month. The deep purple points are exquisite.
The basket is 4 3/4 inches in diameter x 6 inches high, including the finial.
