This is one of Love’s signature designs, cleverly dyed to demonstrate the colors of a partially ripe vegetable. Fruits and vegetables have been a common theme of Wabanaki baskets since they began weaving fancy baskets in the mid to late 19th century. This design adds the twist of color variation.
