Out of an extensive basket collection comes this charmng corn basket by Rocky Keezer, one of the sons of NEA National Heritage Fellow Clara Keezer. Clara Keezer was one of the long-time Wabanaki weavers who kept the art of basket making alive, making it possible for the Maine Indian Basketmakers Alliance to create an apprenticeship program for younger weaver.

This corn basket is made without the leaves and/or silk commonly found on corn baskets. This makes a more compact form.
