Lincon Milligrock Alaskan Eskimo Inupiaq Carved Animals Bracelet

Lincoln Milligrock, Inupiaq artist from Little Diomede Island (1931 – 2010) was one of the last makers of carved animal bracelets. This bracelet is made from fresh walrus tusk (white-ish) and mammoth tusk (brown). It includes a carved walrus, dog, seal, and two whales.

The bracelet has an inside circumference of about 6 1/4 inches and will stretch to go over the hand. It is approximately 5/8 inch wide.

While the artist was carving into the 21st century, we believe this bracelet dates to the 4th quarter of the 20th century
