Decontie & Brown Charoite-Turquoise Pendant
The charoite stone in this pendant is exceptional for its depth of color; one can almost see layers in the stone. The photos in this listing do not do it justice at all: it needs to be seen in person.
Between the pieces of charoite is a sliver of natural turquoise from the Fox mine. On the reverse side are etched fiddlehead ferns, a symbol of spring in the Northeast, and a common design element among the Wabanaki nations, considered a woodland people.
The pendant is made from Argentium, a highly tarnish resistant and hypoallergenic silver alloy that contains 93.5% pure silver and 6.5% germanium.
Pendant is 2 1/4 inch from top to bottom, including bail x 3/16 inch wide. Chain is 18 inches long.
