Tim Shay seated woman
Tim Shay, Penobscot artist from Indian Island, Maine, is an accomplished sculpture. This sculpture of an Indian woman holding an olla (pot) is serene and complete. The figure is adorned with jaclas (earrings) and a multi-strand necklace. A shawl, almost indistinguishable from her hair, surrounds the figure like a cocoon.
