Sacred Plants pendant
$400.00
Sacred plants pendant: Amelia Joe-Chandler combines traditional cultural elements with a contemporary sense of design. She does not use any polish on her silver; as a result, the matte finish of her work is very distinctive and the artist’s hand is evident in every piece.
Round sterling silver pendant with a beautiful Kingman turquoise cabochon. Sandstone inlay on the front of the pendant depicts the four sacred plants: corn, beans, squash, and tobacco. Inlay on the reverse side depicts Bennett’s Peak overlooking the artist’s father’s corn field. Combined, these elements represent the Navajo philosophy of life to the artist.
