Out of a basket collection in New York State comes this colorful basket by Rocky Keezer, one of the sons of NEA National Heritage Fellow Clara Keezer. Clara Keezer was one of the long-time Wabanaki weavers who kept the art of basket making alive, making it possible for the Maine Indian Basketmakers Alliance to create an apprenticeship program for younger weaver.
