Molly Neptune Parker (1939 – 2020), was long-time Passamaquoddy basket maker. A respected member and leader of her community, she was named a National Heritage Fellow in October, 2012 by the National Endowment for the Arts. Some of her children, her grandchildren, and even one great-grandchild, have become weavers in their own rights.
The strawberry basket was one of her signature designs. This basket came out of a local collection. It shows some fading, as can be seen in the photos.
