David Farnham Eagle
David Farnham is a stone carver of the Onandaga tribe, one of the Iroquois Six Nations in Canada. He uses Brazilian soapstone for its color and textural qualities.
This eagle is beautifully carved, with head feathers highlighted with etching. The interplay of positive and negative spaces add some design interest. The colors in the soapstone, combined with the skillful carving, create a wonderful sculpture for anyone’s collection.
