A stunning example of the work of NEA National Heritage Fellow Clara Keezer from 2006, . Keezer was one of the long-time Wabanaki weavers who kept the art of basket making alive, making it possible for the Maine Indian Basketmakers Alliance to create an apprenticeship program for younger weavers in the 1990s.

This basket stands tall, with an abundance of braided sweetgrass, including on the charming base. It is in pristine condition with vibrant colors, light ash color, and fresh-looking sweetgrass.
