Purse basket with curls
Baskets Sarah Sockbasen, a young Penobscot basketmaker, has re-created a purse basket based on one held in her family for generations. Curlicue weave, sweetgrass and ash handles. This is an extremely charming piece: it is usable, but for conservation purposes, we would not recommend it for every day use. The rich brown tones and subtle black dyes contrast beautifully with the natural colored ash. Basket is 4 3/4" diameter x 6 3/4" including handle x 3 1/4" deep This is a special order item.
