A handsome bowhead whale with scrimshaw mouth and eyes, carved from walrus tusk. Mounted on a bone base with an ivory post. The carving is signed, though we’re not sure we’re reading the last name correctly. It appears to be Al. Iyshuk, Diom, AK

Circa 4th quarter 20th century
