A sterling silver ring with stamped band and a beautiful turquoise cabochon with reddish web matrix from the Thunderbird mine in Nevada.
Please note that the colors of the stone are closest to the pictures with the dark background. The picture with the light background is included to show the ring in a different light, but the colors are not as true.
Size is 8 1/4 platform with cabochon is 1 3/8 inches x 13/16 inch; band is 3/16 inch wide

JJ Otero is a musician and artist of Navajo and Hopi ancestry. He is a woodworker who makes inlaid objects such as boxes and cradle boards. While metalsmithing is a recently discovered endeavor for him, he is a natural. He designs and makes beautiful designs inscribed with words inspired by the contemporary resistance movement.
Otero’s musical career spans over a decade. The Resistance Rock group he leads, Son of Hweeldi, has been nominated for a NAMY (Native American Music Awards) and won the best of new rock album award in the New Mexico Music awards in 2014.
