Guardian of His Domain

$5,800.00

A masterful composition carved from granite and marble by Cliff Fragua of Jemez Pueblo. The bear stands over a southwestern landscape of mountains and rivers, which are etched on the surface of the black granite. In the dry southwestern areas of the U.S., feathers from rain forest parrots represent much needed rain.

The cover lifts from the sculpture to reveal a felt-lined cubic container.

Mr. Fragua is an acclaimed sculptor who was commissioned to create a monumental statue of Pope, the 17th century Pueblo rebellion leader. The statue now stands in the Hall of Governors in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
