Jason Brown, of Decontie & Brown, honors Wabanaki traditions in his designs. In this pendant, he refers to the star people, who are featured in a number of Wabanaki legends. Contact with star people was not uncommon.
This star person has silver eyes and mouth, and holds it arms up high. The main stone is healerite, which has a fascinating streak of purple in the middle of the beautiful green. Lapis lazuli inlay completes the picture.
The pendant is made from Argentium, a highly tarnish resistant and hypoallergenic silver alloy that contains 93.5% pure silver and 6.5% germanium.
Pendant is 1 3/8 inches from top to bottom, including bail x 1 inch wide. Chain is 17 1/2 inches long.
