Antique Sami (Lappland) Knife: Note this is not Native American

An fascinating vintage knife from the Sami people in Lapland, ca. early 20th century. The knife handle is made from bone or antler and the sheath is made from antler incised with a reindeer, a celestial shape, and geometric designs along top and bottom borders.

Leather covers the top part of the sheath and the knife handle; the leather is in good condition. Tool marks are evident on the knife blade, remnants of its being hand wrought, as well as patina of age.
