Medicine Man Earrings

Amelia Joe-Chandler combines traditional cultural elements with a contemporary sense of design. Amelia does not use any polish on her silver; as a result, the soft matte finish of her work is very distinctive and the artist’s hand is evident in every piece.

These sterling silver earrings are based on old medicine man earrings, which were traditionally made with turquoise. Amelia”s design is an elegant silver version. Note that the ear wires are sterling silver; the black patina on them is caused by lighting difference from one part of the image to the next.
